Meet Pete the furry caterpillar

I knew I was going to make one but I wasn't sure if I was going to like it. It was so much work trying to place the needle through that fur and seeing where exactly I was stitching. But hey! He is super cute and the girls already gave him a name. Please meet Pete the caterpillar!

Lavender Fish Necklace from Twiggy and Lou

Since I came back from my mother's house last summer with the girls, I've been wondering what I am going to do with all that beautiful lavender that I have brought back with me. It smells so good!!
Well, I have figured it out. I am creating some fish necklace that I stuff with this pure lavender. They are so cute and their smell is unique. I wear one around the neck almost everyday and it reminds me of my mother's garden. True fact, lavender is known to repulse insects. So far, no mosquito has messed with me :) The fish necklace are now up for sale in my Etsy shop.

Making jewelry for the summer

I always find inspirational DIY on the net and lately I've been itching to make my own jewelry pieces. First for the fun, then, for the fact that it's not that easy to find a piece that I am really going to like. I am going to have a crush on a very expensive necklace or bracelet, or I will find that certain pieces are not exactly what I am looking for. Being a blogger has been amazing. I have met a lot of amazing people through the net and found so much inspiration. So when I saw the DIY offered by Honestly WTF, I knew that I'll have to make it. Originally I was going to make the pompon and chain necklace plus the braided bracelet but I've been missing time to make both so I started with the bracelet. I am happy with the result and completely love the wooden beads necklace that I made too. Have you made anything for yourself lately? It feels good for once to think about myself :)

Little Lisa Smile

How cool are these dolls? Seriously??!! I am happily surprised to see that they were handmade in Marseille, France; The city were I grew up. We are probably going to hear more and more about Little Lisa Smile. Success well deserved!

Ocean call

Enough of this rain!! I wonder what it would be if we were living in a beach town. My memories from Maui are not too far, always kept dearly in my heart and each time the dark gloomy clouds appear, I know where my head has to go to bring back my inner sunshine. Today, I found this house and it made me dream. Big time!!

Wooden playhouses from France

Castorama is a giant hardware store that I would compare to the Home Depot or Loews. When I was a child, I used to go there very often with my grand-father because he was an inventor and was always in need of new tools. At the time, my grand-father was still alive and Castorama didn't carry the amazing wooden playhouses it does today. Admit it, don't you like them don't you?
