Claire Cottrell's Home, Mount Washington, Los Angeles
What about a house that is surrounded by trees and located where the sun shines most of the year? Claire Cottrell's house is that and much more. It's a wonderful home where I would like to step in so I can be inspired by it.

A beautiful apartment
I want a house with a garden and a fireplace, I always did. I can see myself enjoying my morning tea in the garden with my husband while our daughters are playing in the grass. Then, the joy of entertaining our friends around the table and ending with a drink next to the fireplace. That's my dream. Though, in real life, I don't have all that. Someone should write the 101 manual about how to get all that in New York City. Knowing that all that won't happen in the near future, I keep my eyes opened and love it when I find an article about a beautiful apartment like this one. It is simple, full of light with a light color palette and beautiful accessories. Can you see yourself in it? I do.

Once upon a house
We've stepped way too quickly into fall. It feels like if winter is right here waiting for us around the corner. Is it going to be a cold one? Is it going to snow a lot? These are the questions that are on my mind. I love the snow but dislike feeling stuck inside so let's wait and see how it turns.
In the mean time I have to admit that it is hard for me to accept that the summer is over. So naturally when I surf the web and fall on a house that says "I'll see you next summer", I can't help but dream about how it would feel to wake up one sunny morning and go enjoy a breakfast with my family in its sumptuous garden. I found that house on the blog Dettagli Home Decor. I love the details of this house. Its architecture, the light that visits it and the soft colors that were chosen to immortalize it.

Tiny House
Interior Designer Jessica Helgerson has a lot of great projects in her porfolio. From a country house is the region of Burgundy in France to refurnishing a recently remodeled Brownstone in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, I am not surprised if she gets clients all over the planet. Her style is impeccable and she just topped my list of favorite interior designers. When a house attracts you, it doesn't matter if it's a large one or a tiny one. This is the case for this house and it's simply beautiful. It's only 540 square feet and was remodeled using nearly exclusively reclaimed materials. The story is long about this little house that was build in the early 1940's so I let you read it's story on Jessica Helgerson's website and for now, here are the pictures...

After giving birth to her daughter Louise, Marie-Laure decided to down-size her architectural projects and focus on kids spaces.
